Come along and learn to make lovely jewellery using glass! Be warned this is addictive - fantastic colours, low costs and great results. You will not be disappointed! This course is suitable for complete beginners.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Basic glass cutting techniques
- Basic principles of tack-fusing and full-fusing
Following an introduction to dichroic glass, you will make four pieces of jewellery to take home. These will be two full-fused and two tack-fused pieces. These might include a pendant, a pair of earrings or a brooch.
Glass is a great material to work with; it is colourful and affordable and can be used in combination with other materials such as metal clay to make beautiful combined pieces.
As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
