Class Description
New! Learn to make beautiful jewellery using resin and silver. In this class you will experiment with the use of resins and how they can be used to add colour and style to silver pieces. This technique is also often referred to as cold enameling.
This is an fun and experimental 1-day class where we will provide you with a range of silver-plated and silver pieces in which you can add resin to. If you have worked with silver before and have some of your own pieces that you would like to add resin to then please feel free to bring them along. However don't worry if you have never made jewellery before as this is a beginners level class and we will provide everything you need.
This class doesn't cover the making of silver pieces but you will be taught how to mix resins and use them to add colour to silver and create unique pieces of jewellery in your own style.
Some of the techniques covered include:
- Mixing resin
- Adding colours and mixing your own colours
- embeding objects such as, buttons, pictures, stickers, feathers, flowers, writing, gold leaf and much more
- Working with different kinds of silver, sterling and metal clay
And much more.
You will leave at the end of the day having made a full range of lovely resin and silver pieces. Please note that most resins we use take 24 hours to set so you can either take them home on the day very carefully of we can post them to you once they have fully set. Either way you will have a bunch of beautiful creations to keep.
All of the resins that we use in our classes are low-odor and low toxic, they are also easy to use at home if you want to carry on making after the class. There will always be the option to wear a mask when working with the resins.

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
