Take your metal clay creations to the next level by learning to add gold to your work. Gold not only increases the value of your work but adds a different colour and dimension to your jewellery.
With metal clay you can add gold with a fairly low investment in tools and materials. This is an intermediate metal clay class where you will learn a range of techniques for adding gold to your metal clay creations, including;
- Kemboo (adding a layer of gold on top of our pieces)
- Using casting grain (embedding these in to your metal clay pieces)
- Painting in gold paste

Gold is a fantastic material to work with and this is an intensive class that is packed full of information and projects to get students comfortable working with gold.
As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
