Sunita Patel - Manager
Previous Qualifications & Training:
My educational background is in Town Planning. I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2004 and was a Town Planner for 5 years, working in both the public and private sector.
How I got involved in making jewellery:
I have been making jewellery as a hobby since I was 18 and have been experimenting and playing around with different jewellery making techniques since. Making the career change from planning to jewellery has been so exciting and rewarding as the opportunity to work with and learn from professional jewellers has really opened my eyes to lots of possibilities.
Things I have done:
I enjoy travelling and have been to over 15 different countries and cities since leaving University.
My biggest achievements so far:
Graduating from University, buying my first property and recovering from a long-term illness to be where I am today.
Things I hope to achieve in the future:
To successfully design, make and sell my own jewellery.
Three words that describe me are:
Creative, Passionate and Determined.
I am inspired by:
An endless amount of artists, jewellers, musicians and creatives.Living in such a culturally thriving city like London inspires me everyday.
My favorite jeweller is:
Zoe Harding - one of the LJS Tutors. Her work is amazing!
