Class Description
Spend a day learning the basics of bead weaving creating beautiful jewellery using miniature glass, seed beads, needle and thread.
You will create a sample piece in each of the three stitches, with demonstrations and hands on help throughout the day from the tutor, as well as detailed instruction sheets.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Basic peyote stitch,
- Brick stitch
- Right angle weave
- Using seed beads
- Use of different beading needles and threads
- Using pattern grids to create new designs.
- Attaching clasps and ear hooks to your designs
And much more.
Bead weaving is a great technique for those with the minimum of space and needs a minimum of tools, so it's easy to get started. Knitters and stitchers will love this technique, as will anyone looking for a new and colourful jewellery technique to try.
With the basics learnt in this class you will be able to go away and create your own designs and enjoy.
Great for anyone with an eye for detail and a little patience, this class is suitable for absolute beginners, or anyone who needs a refresher of these three stitches.
