Learn to make stunning wire jewellery with established expert and author, Linda Jones
Whether you are a complete beginner, or intermediate wire worker, this intensive one day workshop is guaranteed to fuel your creativity and inspire new jewellery designs!
Covering essential techniques such as:
Making a range of wire linking systems
The ever-popular bead-wrapping
And applying these to your own designs.
Students will learn to think ‘outside of the box’ to create free-form components. The aim of this class is to gain an understanding of the amazing versatility of wire as a material, providing an artistic approach to designing and making one-of-a-kind wire jewellery pieces. Students will make a range of wire pieces to take home along with plenty of new skills and techniques to apply to future designs.
All the pieces made in this class are easy to carry on after the workshop and require minimal tools, so there really is no excuse not to get creative with wire!
About the tutor:
Linda Jones has been designing and making metal and wire jewellery for 20 years. For the last 14 years she has specialised in wirework, writing 8 project books on the subject, contributing designs to magazines in the U.K. and U.S., filming online tutorials as well as demonstrating and teaching from her studio in Kent. She has also designed a specialist wirework hammer called the Whammer and runs The WireWorkers Guild, a free online forum to inspire and share creativity and ideas.

For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself, as everything is provided.
Students who attend this class from March 2016 are also entitled to free access to the online course Introduction to Wire Jewellery with Linda Jones
As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
