Getting great photos of your jewellery is always challenging but really essential, especially when selling or promoting yourself online. A professional photographer can be very expensive so taking your own photos is the perfect alternative.
In this class students are advised to bring an SLR digital camera (also the manual and charger) - if you do not own an SLR, consider borrowing or hiring one, because it is harder to achieve results with compact digital cameras. Whatever you decide, do not forget your camera on the day because LJS does not provide cameras. Camera phones are not suitable for this class.
Also, don't forget to bring some jewellery along too - if not we have plenty for you to photograph.
Throughout the day the tutor will guide you on all the basics of using your camera to get the best possible pictures of your jewellery.
Some of the areas covered in this class include:
Using and looking after your camera
Background and setting up your picture
Setting up your mini photography studio at home
White balance, getting your pictures in focus and much more...
This is a great value, intensive class where you will learn to take lovely photos of your jewellery which is an invaluable skill that will be used time and time again.
Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment!
