About the Diploma:
The Diploma in Creative Jewellery is an intensive and comprehensive programme of jewellery skills training and covers a broad range of jewellery techniques from traditional silverwork and design to beading, metal clay and fashion jewellery.
It is open to anyone above the age of 16 (previous students have ranged in age from 16-70!) and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those that have some previous jewellery making experience.
The Diploma programme is available as a year-long course that runs 1-day a week or in three 12-week modules.
Module 3 is designed to hone students skills and provide a grounding in developing collections and running a jewellery business.

Classes run on the same day each week from 10am-5pm with a one hour lunch break from approx. 1 – 2pm.

What is Included:
Included in the cost of the course are all of the basic materials needed for each lesson, use of our fully equipped studios during your classes and our usual expert tuition. You will also be assigned a support tutor who will be marking your work and will meet with you once a term to review and discuss your progress. These meetings will be outside of your scheduled course time. You will be given 5 free days of studio time throughout the course (worth £150) which you will need to arrange with us at a time suitable for you. There are a few course trips planned throughout the year including a day at the V&A Museum and Institute of Gemology to help give more depth to your understanding of the industry in context.

The Diploma in Creative Jewellery aims to be open and available to anyone who wants to learn professional jewellery making techniques in a creative and encouraging setting. Students do not need to have any previous jewellery making skills or training but we recommend speaking to us and/ or coming to visit the studios before booking your place.
A few basic requirements we have include:
Competent level of English language (in order to take the classes and understand instruction and feedback)
Commitment to the course and time to attend a minimum of 90% of timetabled dates
Ability to pay the course fees
This class is run and assessed by the London Jewellery School
Installment 1: £700 at time of booking
Installment 2: £700 one week before start of module

If you complete all three modules you will have the opportunity to create and exhibit a collection of your own work (made in your own time with your own materials) which you will exhibit at a final exhibition along with other diploma students.
