How I got involved in making jewellery:
Just before I left school I first began working with silver and gemstones – and when I left full time employment at the beginning of 2009 I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grow up!!
Things I have done:
In a previous life I have been a Beauty Therapy teacher and taught for Barbara Daly at her school in Chelsea. I then moved into management and training positions in publishing houses and have worked for the Auto Trader, Wall Street Journal and the Mirror Group.
Things I do now:
When not either talking , thinking or dreaming about it , I make jewellery !!
My biggest achievement so far:
The complete renovation of my narrow boat, Joshua which I bought as a “project” three years ago. Eventually Joshua will become my live aboard studio on the canals.
Things I hope to achieve in the Future:
I would love to set up an Artist’s Studio /Workshop /Shop Front and work with like-minded creative people to produce and sell Wearable Art. This would satisfy both my creative and commercial instincts.
Three words that describe me are:
Professional, Ambitious , Caring
I am inspired by: Gustav Klimt , the feeling of the sun on an autumn morning, and the sound of breaking waves
My Favourite Jeweller is:
Alexis Bittar, the New York Designer /maker for his amazing work with Lucite. Sarah Ibrahim in the UK for her fabulous contemporary work in gold and silver
