How I got involved in Jewellery making:
I collected things as a child - sea-worn glass, pebbles, drift wood etc. When it came to the decision making time on my Foundation Art Course my sisters encouraged me to choose jewellery so I could make pieces for them!
Things I have done:
A collection based on shells and starfish that were cast in silver. Rings that screw together with the addition of sea-worn glass
Things I do now:
Brooches including images of dogs, clouds, chairs, architecture, trees, birds and quilts.
Things I hope to achieve in the future:
Continue to investigate new designs and techniques that will help to broaden my range of brooches.
My favorite jeweller is:
The Saxons and Egyptians were pretty cool.
