Polymer Clay Bangles
Make a stylish polymer clay bangle in this intermediate polymer clay class.
Using a metal armature for strength you will learn a step by step process for producing beautiful bangles using a variety of millefiori canes and various surface designs. The scope for individual creativity is endless and this process is suitable for all levels, beginners and intermediate alike. Some previous experience with polymer clay is useful.
Topics and areas usually covered in this class include:
More intermediate level polymer clay techniques
Forming a bangle over a metal armature
Experimenting with different finishes
Using specialist tools and resources
Sanding and Buffing and much more...
It is also very simple to carry on working with at home after the class as there are not many tools or resources needed to work with polymer clay.
You can also combine the clay with metal clay and other jewellery materials as a way of adding colour to your work. Polymer clay really has endless possibilities and is very addictive...you have been warned! There are no limits and you can create unique pieces from any colour and really get creative with it.
What you need to bring to this class:
For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided. However, it is a good idea to have a look at the images above and think about which colours and styles you like. Don't worry if you don't have a design in mind as we have plenty of inspiration around our workshop too.
As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
