LJS Jewellery Business Week 14-20 January 2013
January is the time when traditionally people re-evaluate their lives and especially their jobs. Increasingly this means considering starting their own businesses either as a full time alternative to their job or as additional interest and income stream.
For people with jewellery-making skills this often means a move to designing and selling their own pieces. But while they may be accomplished designer makers, they may not have the same level of skill and knowledge when it comes to budgets, pricing, PR or packaging.
This January the London Jewellery School is here to help. As a provider of business courses for jewellers, we are launching our first Jewellery Business Week, 14-20 January 2013.
This online event will include:
Daily business tips
Daily blogs featuring business information, interviews with successful designer makers and guest articles from experts
Promotion for jewellery businesses joining in the week
Live Q&A with LJS founder and successful entrepreneur Jessica Rose
Discounted business courses
Twitter chats under the hashtag #LJSjewelbizweek
The aim is to provide and share information for new jewellery businesses and more established ones needing a boost by drawing on the experience of LJS tutors and our wider membership.
Using platforms such as the LJS website and blog, Facebook and Twitter we want to involve as many budding jewellers as possible and create a buzz about UK designer makers.
