Learn to make your own chains. Whether to use with a pendant or piece of jewellery or as a stand alone chain, making your own chains is a valuable and rewarding skill to learn.
In this class you will be supported throughout the day by a professional jeweller in learning how to make your own chains in copper and silver.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Making jumprings and links of all shapes and sizes
- Soldering jumprings
- Creating finished chains
- Texturing and cutting metal and links
- Experimenting with different chain designs from small and intricate to chunky and statement
Chains can be worn alone as a piece of jewellery or can be used to enhance your other jewellery by adding beads, pendants, charms etc...
This is a fun filled, intensive day of working in traditional methods with silver and a range of base metals.
Making chains means that you can really personalize every part of your jewellery and will also give you lots of practice with your soldering!
