How did you get involved in making jewellery?
I had been making bead-based jewellery all my life - but really started traditional jewellery making when I joined a jewellery evening class at Kensington & Chelsea College in 2000. I did a year of evening classes and then transferred to the day classes for the next 3 years.
Things I have done:
Designed packaging for Marks & Spencer, Boots, Sainsbury's, Del Monte and Tetley Tea plus many more.
Started a successful second career as a jeweller in 2006.
Things I do now:
Run my own business as a jewellery designer/maker.
Teach regularly at West Dean College, Chichester.
Teach my own classes at Cockpit Arts, Holborn, London.
My biggest achievement so far:
Selected for the Crafts Council Development Award for Designer/Makers in 2008
Selected for Origin Craft Fair in 2008, 2009, 2010
Things I hope to achieve in the Future:
Continue to grow my business. I would also love to be selected for Goldsmiths Fair.
Three words that describe me are:
Creative. Hard-working. Precise.
I am inspired by:
Geometry, pattern, textiles.
