Branding for Your Jewellery Business

· · · Comments

If you’ve been following along with us on the free Starting a jewellery business course then you will have made it to week 3. If not, don’t worry! There’s still time to join and all the resources will remain available to you indefinitely.

Week 3 is all about building a brand for your jewellery business.

What does that mean?

We look at the 5 key elements to branding:

  1. Identifying and defining your core values (there is a fun exercise for this)
  2. Telling your brand story
  3. Getting to know your customers
  4. Your copy (what to write)
  5. Your visuals (logo, colours, photography etc.)

Head on over to the course to watch (or re-watch) the video course and get going on the exercises right away: https://learn.jewelleryschoolonline.com/p/starting-a-jewellery-business

Building a beautiful, eye-catching and relevant brand for your customers can make the difference between surviving in business and growing to great heights.

Year after year we see jewellers who have stunning jewellery work hard to market themselves and sell in as many places as possible but the branding is really letting them down. A few key questions to ask yourself:

  • Does your business name sound attractive, easy to remember and represent the business you are running?
  • Do you have 3-5 core colours you use on everything you do? (website, etsy, logo, business cards, instagram and social feeds etc.)
  • Do you have an attractive logo that represents your brand, can easily be printed on to jewellery boxes and looks good next to your jewellery?

If not these are things worth getting in place. It is a hassle to change names and logos we know, but don’t let branding let you down with all the hard work you are putting into other areas of your business.

If you answered YES to the above, then amazing! – You are already on the right track. With this weeks content you can look into developing your communications around your brand – this is something we are all looking to continually improve.

Support for your learning:

If you haven’t already, be sure to join us over on the community facebook group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/jewelleryschoolonline/
