Button jewellery

· · · Comments

As much as we love semi precious gemstone beads, sterling silver, gold … it’s not always affordable. At the London Jewellery School we love making jewellery from other materials and diving into our crafting stash (oh yes, we don’t just make jewellery you know!). We love playing around with gorgeous colourful buttons.

button jewellery making

Take a look at our top button jewellery makes

1. Button charm bracelet

Use jump rings to add buttons to chain

2. Resin pendant

Buttons are a popular choice to add colour to resin jewellery in our resin classes. These zingy orange buttons look gorgeous in Gemma Goodall‘s design on folksy.

3. Stud earrings

Glue an earring finding to the back of two lovely buttons to make gorgeous stud earrings like KooKoo Craft

4. Feature button necklace

I bet you have one gorgeous button in your craft stash that you don’t know what to do with. How about making a feature of it and connect with chain like Lizix26

5.Crochet corsage

Incorporate crochet into your jewellery making. Want to learn to crochet? Come along to our crochet corsage taster class to learn how

6. Button bouquet

How about creating a little button bouquet or ‘button hole’. Click for a free tutorial from WhiMSy

Would you like to join us for a button jewellery taster class? Or have a go at making resin jewellery on our two day class? We’d love to see you.
