International Jewellery London 2015

· · · Comments

This year’s International Jewellery London (IJL) takes place at Olympia on 6-8 September 2015 and the event is set to be bigger than ever as it celebrates its diamond jubilee year.

The trade show promises the widest range of suppliers of all UK jewellery trade events. Somewhere you can see everything from big brands to emerging designers in one place. With more than 500 exhibitors, there should be something for every jewellery lover to enjoy. The event is also the biggest showcase of British design talent so you should be able to take some inspiration away.

A large international trade show may seem a long way from a small start-up jewellery business but there is plenty to lean and see.

Visiting IJL gives you the opportunity to learn about the jewellery industry which could prove useful as your business grows. Whether your goal is to become a designer who outsources their making and wants to find out about manufacturers or you want to understand the jewellery trends for next year so your own pieces have the best chance of selling, there is something to learn here.

Plus there are free seminars on everything from social media and marketing to technical issues such as diamond grading and intellectual property. Worth checking out what’s available here.

IJL also offers plenty of opportunity to see what and who is new in jewellery design through a number of schemes which promote up and coming jewellery talent – Kickstarter, Bright Gems and New Designers.

And you can see the work of winners from a number of award programmes including pieces by LJS’s very own diploma graduate Sally Costen who won the student category in this year’s F. Hinds High Street by Design awards.

You can register to attend IJL for free by clicking here up until 4 September 2015.
