Jessica’s Trip to No. 10 – Spirit of London Awards 2011

· · · Comments

Yesterday our very own Jessica Rose attended an exclusive reception at No. 10 Downing street with David Cameron and a whole host of celebs to celebrate the finalists in the Spirit of London Awards 2011– We thought we would share the pics with you…

After arriving and going through security we were taken through the house into a grand room where the reception was being held. There was lots of networking going on and I got a chance to meet all the other nominees and hear their inspiring stories. The room was scattered with celebs from Titchy Strider (young music star) and Stacy Solomon to presenters and actors so there were plenty of new faces to tell about the wonders of jewellery making

Then of course there was the glorious PM… Ahem. After while all the finalists were taken into a separate room to meet Mr. Cameron and tell him about their projects or businesses. I of course told him all about the jewellery school (in the brief few seconds I had) and you never know perhaps we will see wife Sam at LJS in the near future!

All in all it was a fun and slightly surreal afternoon, but was lovely to meet so many inspirational young people – there is one thing I am still trying to figure out though – Someone nominated me for the award and I don’t know who! Thank you to the misery nominator and fingers crossed for the big event on the 10th October. In the meantime its back to jewellery making for me
