Jewellery favourites – Brooches
Everyone has a favourite style or type of jewellery – perhaps an item they wouldn’t ever want to be without or something they are always drawn to in jewellery displays. So we decided to ask some of the London Jewellery School team about their jewellery favourites, must haves and obsessions. We continue our series with web co-ordinator Rachel Goth’s choice.
Recently I came across a Lea Stein fox brooch in a little boutique near Covent Garden and my interest in brooches was reignited. Now I’m collecting brooches again for the first time in a long while.
Brooches are often overlooked but I think if, like me, you like to keep your main jewellery understated then a brooch is a great piece to be more playful with. They come in such a wide variety from metal and sparkles to bright plastics and soft fabrics, that there’s something for everyone. So they’re perfect for brightening up a winter coat or giving detail to a summer jacket.
