The Financial Times may not be the first place to tun to for style but it recently reported that “the Downton effect” has brought tiaras back into fashion outside the bridal market with younger women opting for some hair bling.

Fine jewellery suppliers such as Tiffany and Graff report rising sales in high end hair ornaments and while we might only dream of wearing the value of a car in our hair, we can’t deny Amy from The Big Bang Theory’s claim that tiara makes every woman feel just a bit like a princess.
