Day 4: Advanced Wax Carving: Create a 3D Swing Locket
Day 5: Supported Workbench Day
Week 2:
Day 6: Using Cast Settings: Create a Multi-Set Ring
Day 7: Collet Setting:- Square shape
Day 8: Make a Silver Jewellery Box Day 1
Day 9: Make a Silver Jewellery Box Day 2
Day 10: Supported Workbench Day
Week 3:
Day 11: Wax Casting Clean-Up and Stone Setting Day
Day 12: Working to Commission and Jewellery Repairs
Day 13: Rendering: Drawing for Clients (Colour)
Day 14: Supported Workbench Day
Day 15: Marking day
We welcome students of all ages and backgrounds and often have a diverse group. Some students use the course to launch a jewellery business, to experiment with a second career in jewellery or as an alternative to a degree.
This Diploma is aimed at intermediate to advanced level jewellers who have solid experience of silversmithing. It is often taken after the Diploma in Creative Jewellery or the Diploma in Silver Jewellery but that is not a pre-requisite. If you are looking for an intensive advanced course then this is for you!
Students need to have gained experience in wax carving and Intermediate Silversmithing as well as stone setting before committing to the course.

Many students go on to start their own jewellery businesses, some set up shops selling their work, some go into further training in jewellery to hone their craft and others work in the field of jewellery.

COURSE TIMINGS:
This is an intensive course that is run on weekdays for 3 weeks. Monday-Friday
Classes run from 10am-5pm with a one hour lunch break from approx. 1 – 2pm.
Payment Schedule:
Option 1: Full payment made at time of booking
Option 2: 50% payment made at time of booking (£1050) and remaining 50% made before first day of the course (£1050).
All course fees must be paid before the first day of the Advanced Jewellery Diploma
