About

Hello and welcome!  

The London Jewellery School is one of the worlds largest and most active jewellery training centres. We run 100's of classes every month from our workshops in London's famous Jewellery Quarter, Hatton Garden. 

We believe that everyone can make jewellery and no matter what your skill level or background, our classes and tutors are here to help push you to the next level. 

Students come to us for

  • beginner classes learning to make jewellery for fun or a hobby...
  • For intensive and professional training to enable you to launch a jewellery business or career in jewellery 
  • Or for further development for current jewellers to improve their skills and master new techniques. 

We teach both the practical making side of jewellery and the business & marketing skills needed to thrive as a jeweller in the current climate. 

 

Our Story  

LJS was founded by jewellery lover and award-winning business woman Jessica Rose back in 2009. We started with humble beginnings with just a few classes a month run from a community hall and within 3 years grew to win 6 business awards, with a three-studio space in Hatton Garden, running 100 plus different types of classes, with 20-30 tutors and thousands of students every year. 

We share this to show just how much is possible in the jewellery industry and what can happen when you go for what you love and build your own dream. 

Over the past 10 years, LJS has attracted much media attention with slots on TV programmes including BBC news, ITV, SKY and Create and Craft. We have been featured in the times, telegraph, timeout, Marie Claire and other press. It turns out our love of jewellery making is shared with many. 

Today LJS is a leading provider in jewellery industry training with a key focus on helping designers to learn the techniques and skills needed to launch and grow a jewellery business. 

We also have a sister company 'Jewellers Academy' which offers online jewellery training to students all over the world with a strong focus on business training and how to sell your work. You can find out more and get involved with the online community here >

Classes range from one evening taster classes to year-long Diploma's and are suitable for all ages from 16-90! 

We are unique in that we provide all the tools and materials you need in almost every class so that you can focus on developing your making skills knowing that all costs are included (some exceptions on more advanced classes are made super clear!) 

  

 Our Tutors  

We have a fantastic tutor team made up of passionate jewellers who are all highly skilled in the techniques they teach and run their own jewellery businesses along-side teaching so they have industry knowledge to bring to students.
