Beading is such a fun and affordable way to design with colour and texture. Our evening class is a great way to develop your skills either for making for yourself or for a business.
On this 5-week evening course, suitable for beginners or those with some experience, you will learn skills including correct use of tools, creating various profiles of jewellery such as earrings, rings, bracelets and even a statement necklace or two.
Students usually make 10 or more finished pieces to take home over the course.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Design techniques for making and creating beautiful beaded jewellery
- Using a range of beading tools and findings
- Creating loops and connections
- Making your own findings such as ear hooks and clasps
- Various ways of incorporating beads, gemstones and chain into professional-quality jewellery including basic wire wrapping
- How to professionally assemble and finish your jewellery
What will you learn?
Week 1 - Make your own ear wires, followed by simple drop earrings and chain tassel earrings
Week 2 - Stacking Bangles with Filigree Charm and beads
Week 3 - Necklace with decorative components including making your own clasps
Week 4 - Double Row Necklace including handmade clasp
Week 5 - Cocktail Ring and single stone wrapped ring
What you need to bring to this class:
You don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided. However, if you have any ideas of what you would like to make, feel free to bring pictures, sketches or ideas.
This class runs from 6.30pm-9pm once a week from the start date for five consecutive weeks. Please note: we don't close for bank holidays.

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
