Ready to take your skills with metal clay to a higher level? Then you'll love this class! This is a great follow on from our beginners class or for those with some experience of working with metal clay and want to learn more.
Metal clay is a clay-like substance made of silver recycled from X-rays and photographs, an organic binder and some water. It can be moulded and shaped like clay and can be fired with a torch (a creme brule torch will do!) or in a kiln all of the binder burns away and you are left with solid silver - it's like magic! The silver left is real silver and is of hallmark quality.
This is an intermediate level metal clay class covering information and techniques over a range of different projects to engage and inspire you.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Creating a Pandora-style bead
- Adding gold to metal clay
- Ring making
- Setting a stone with syringe and much more...
