Spend a day with us and develop techniques to create realistic images of your jewellery designs using colour.
In this workshop, you will build on the techniques you have learned in order to create professional rendered drawings suitable for presentation to clients.
Activities in this class include
Quick Orthographic drawing refresher
Quick Isometric drawing refresher
We will use a simple ring design on which to practice the following techniques:
● Transferring a drawing
● Illustrating polished and satin finishes: practice in pencil
● Rendering with gouache paints
● Overlays
● Scale effects
In the afternoon you will work on an individual project - a technical drawing and rendering of your own jewellery design with tutor advice, support and guidance. We will also discuss final presentation mounting, working as a designer and costing and pricing your design work.
This class has been designed as a follow on class from the Technical Drawing course and it is recommended you have completed it or have experience of technical drawing before coming on this class.
