Would you like to use your jewellery making experience to spend a day with us in our workshop working on your own projects with the guidance of one of our expert Silver Jewellery Tutors?
The Silver Jewellery guided workshops are designed for intermediate and advanced level students. These sessions are different from our usual classes as there will be no organised tuition. You come along with your own designs and project ideas and have help and support from an expert Tutor and from your fellow students.
What do I need to bring?
You need to provide all the materials you will need for the day including your Silver (sheet and wire), stones etc. We are just opposite Cookson Gold so we suggest you pre-order anything you don't have and collect it from there (note: they are open Monday to Friday).
What do LJS provide?
We will provide the following for use on the day:
• All hand tools
• Solder, Saw Blades, Sand Paper etc
• Barrel polisher
• Expert Silversmith Tutor on hand to answer questions and provide one to one support
What kinds of projects can I work on?
Some examples of projects you might like to work on:
The idea of the workshop is to work alongside other Silversmith students with help and support from an expert Silversmith Tutor.
We ask you to email us at least a week before the workshop session with a brief project outline. This is so our Tutor can prepare and ensure she is able to help you with what you want to do. Please include details of any equipment you would like to use.
Please email this to email@example.com at least 7 days before the Class so we can ensure we are prepared to support you effectively.
What you need to bring to this Class:
For this class you will need to provide your own Silver and any stones that you wish to use.
As with all of our classes, there is plenty of tea, coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
